Hook · Work Management Studio
Start with the shared task board
Reminds the assistant to check shared work guidance when a session starts in a project that has enabled coordination.

When it steps in
At the start of a Codex session, including a resume, clear, or context compaction.
Codex · Project opt-in
Requires Codex to have loaded and trusted the plugin, plus a valid .codex/coordination/project.yaml marker in the repository with coordination_enabled set to true.
What you can expect
The assistant receives the project identifier and a reminder to read the parallel-work guidance before substantial changes. It receives no claim of ownership or permission to change anything.
How the workflow unfolds
- 01
Locate the marker
Walks up from the session's working directory, up to 64 levels, looking for a Git root containing the coordination marker file.
- 02
Validate the marker
Checks the marker's version, project id, and confined state paths, and confirms cross-project access is disabled.
- 03
Emit the reminder
Names the project and reminds the assistant to check shared guidance before making substantial changes.
You stay in control
Add a valid .codex/coordination/project.yaml with coordination_enabled=true to a repository to turn this on there; remove or disable the marker to turn it off. Host-level trust for the plugin is a separate prerequisite.
Know the limits
Codex only. A missing project marker is quiet; an invalid marker can produce a warning. The hook does not create tasks, assign ownership, read history, or reach into other projects.
