Hook · Work Management Studio
Keep the work connected to its goal
Reminds the assistant to keep its work connected to your goal and project whenever you send a request in Codex.

When it steps in
When you send a nonempty request in Codex.
Codex · Enable in your AI app
On by default after the hook is enabled and trusted in Codex, unless its opt-out is set. This release has no Claude Code equivalent.
What you can expect
The assistant receives a reminder to reuse the current goal, follow the project’s structure, choose suitable help, and close its resources. The hook does none of those actions itself.
How the workflow unfolds
- 01
Validate the event
Checks that a request was submitted and contains some text.
- 02
Check the opt-out
Checks whether you have turned the reminder off.
- 03
Emit the reminder
Adds guidance about goals, project structure, choosing help, naming the work, and closing resources.
You stay in control
Set the environment variable WORK_MANAGEMENT_CONTEXT_OPT_IN=0 to turn this reminder off. Host-level trust/enable for the plugin is separate and required first.
Know the limits
Codex-only; there's no matching Claude Code registration right now. Input is capped at 1 MiB, and malformed, oversized, or blank-prompt events produce no note. Once the host has trusted the hook, it's on by default.
Technical details and sources
Based on version 0.5.1. These declarations describe the package; they do not confirm that your AI app has enabled or run the hook.
