Writing Templates
Writing Templates is the installable plugin version of the Writing Library. It gives your AI assistant a chooser and handoff tools for applying a writing template, with its guides and modules, to your own facts, plus offline draft checks.

Browse the Writing Library first.
Read the writing templates and examples online. The plugin brings the chooser and handoff tools into your AI app; it doesn't include the library's 53 resources, so you connect a collection you're authorized to use.

Choose a technique, keep your facts.
What can you do with it?
- 01
Find a fitting writing approach
Search templates by name, purpose, tags and mechanism, or browse them visually when you're choosing.
- 02
Apply it to your own facts
Prepare a verified handoff with the template's guides, routed modules and references, then draft from your brief.
- 03
Check the draft
Run offline draft QA with the included engine, keeping names, numbers, quotations and uncertainty intact.
Start with one brief.
Describe the reader, facts and format, then search or browse an authorized template collection. The plugin needs a Python environment and that collection; create the synthetic fixture to try it without one.
Search Writing Templates for a decision-first update, prepare the best match and draft a project status note from these facts: [facts]. Keep every name and number exactly, then run the offline draft checks.
Bring: Your facts, the reader and the format, plus a connected collection. Expect: A template-guided draft with offline checks.

The plugin runs a local MCP app that needs Python 3.10 or newer with its listed dependencies; Python 3.12 is recommended. The offline writing checks need Node 20 or newer. The default collection is empty. Check the requirements.
